Crate & Barrel and Restoration Hardware Haul

Crate & Barrel and Restoration Hardware Haul

Hey gang! Katie, Louie and I have been in the talks of redoing Lukas’ room and making it much more toddler friendly because honest moment y’all…he’s still in a crib. I KNOW I KNOW- he’s way overdue for a room makeover. Anyways, we knew we wanted to head out to the Restoration Hardware Outlet to check out any beds that would be suitable for little man. Later, while washing the dishes, I noticed how all of our plates were chipped or broken. We’d take them out of the dishwasher and noticed that they were split in half- what the heck!? I can deal with one or two broken plates, but every single one of them?! We decided to make today the day we get our new plates and new bedroom furniture for Lukas.

First stop- Restoration Hardware. We had zero luck in finding a new bed for Lukas, but we did find a beautiful floor length mirror that we’ve been on the hunt for what seems like years. This mirror was such a bargain! They had a 40% discount on top of the lowest ticketed price. I’m linking the mirror here, but I can PROUDLY say we paid for this mirror at a fraction of the cost.

We also got our hands on some tableside chairs. It was time to replace two of ours, and so we figured today was a good day to find chairs since they had that in-store promo. We found the Ellison Fabric Side Chair, and to be honest I had some anxiety at the thought of an all-white chair with a toddler as well as always hosting dinner parties, but when we learned that they’re stain resistant we were sold!

I love this outlet because they always have great promotions, and the store is full of items you find on their website. The only thing is that these items have been returned so they sell the product at a much lower price, and to be honest with you all they’re in excellent condition.

Next stop- plates. We’d been looking at different places where we could find everyday plates that were minimalistic yet homey. We decided to go to Crate and Barrel since they had more of the style we were looking for, and I’m so happy we did because we found just that! We love a simple white plate. They’re the best for plating delicious foods, and taking pictures of the final product. There’s just something so timeless and versatile about it! We opted for the Farmhouse Collection because it has some circular texture, bold rims and just felt really sturdy. Plus, they’re microwave, dishwasher and oven safe.

My second favorite purchase was the Kuhn Rikon Blue Scrubber. I’m sure we’re not the only ones who hate a smelly sponge, and when we saw this we decided to give it a try. Guys, WOW. I was a bit skeptical at first given that it’s rubber, but it scrubs really well! I think this is definitely a keeper for us, and I’m looking forward to no more smelly sponges because let’s be real- ew, gross. We were told this guy can just be placed in the dishwasher to be cleaned. Easy. Sold. Yes. Gimme.

We also got a much needed trivet since we always use our cloth pot holder as a base for our cast iron skillet when we put it on the dinner table. It was time for an upgrade to say the least. Although we’re still on the hunt for Lukas’ bedroom set, I’m so happy we got some things we needed for our home!

Xo,
